Driver Trainer

Shift patterns: Rotational Monday - Friday days
Location: Dublin - K36 KC89

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an Driver trainer to play a vital role in our daily transport operation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Responsible for the safe performance of drivers on the road and on 3rd party premises (loading or discharging)
• Provide support and subject matter expertise on the interpretation and application of the WTD and EU hours as pertaining to the road transport industry; ensuring that drivers are fully compliant with the law and regulations.
• Develop SSOW and DPRAs to establish an operating standard for the business
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with national and company regulations and requirements.
• Leads by example, winning the confidence of our customer and of colleagues
• Gain the respect of the driver pool

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Clean driving experience with a minimum of 6 years in a driving role with artics/tankers
• Good knowledge of the application of rules relating to Working Time Directive and EU Rules pertaining to transport management.
• Good knowledge of the application of Tachograph rules and the use of the Tachomaster system
• Good standard of English
• CPC license holder
• High school Leaving Certification
• ADI (Advanced driver instructor) Desirable
• Certificate in ADR regulations desirable

Note - You must also pass an HGV driver assessment as part of the interview process.
