DHL International Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Credit Controllerto join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role of the Credit Control would be responsible for communicating with customers regarding payment inquiries or issues, maintaining accurate records of payments and transactions.

General duties include but are not limited to:

• Determining appropriate credit limits based on the customer's financial status, ensuring that the company doesn't overextend its credit, upon approval.
• Actively following up on overdue accounts, which includes sending reminders, making phone calls, or negotiating repayment terms with customers.
• Managing payment plans: setting up and monitoring repayment plans for customers who are struggling to meet payment deadlines, ensuring that these arrangements are adhered to.
• Keeping track of outstanding balances and preparing aging reports to monitor overdue payments and identify potential problem accounts.
• Regularly communicating with the sales team, customers, and other departments within the company to stay updated on payment statuses and customer issues.
• Maintaining monthly reporting relating to various financial duties.

Applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

• Previous experience working in Accounts or related field. Experience in credit controlling is an asset.
• Strong attention to details, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• A diploma or better in a relevant field is considered to be an asset.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles together with proper knowledge on regulations related to accounts receivables.
• Good knowledge of account software and also MicroSoft programs.
• Valid permit to work in Malta.
• Clean police conduct certificate will be requested.
