Job Description
In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping both the immediate and long-term strategies for DHL Supply Chain's (DSC) digitalization and innovation endeavors across North America. Your responsibilities extend to identifying and forming collaborative partnerships with vendors, working in unison to craft and deploy at scale pioneering digital technology solutions that bolster the efficiency of Supply Chain operations throughout the region.
You will also be instrumental in constructing and propelling the regional digitalization and innovation strategy, leveraging various programs such as research, proof of concept, pilots, and full-scale implementations. Drawing on your extensive expertise, you'll provide invaluable insights into processes, tools, and facilitation, with impact felt not only on a regional scale but also contributing to the global digitalization agenda.
Your engagement extends to close collaboration with Regional leadership across all sectors. In this capacity, you'll contribute a strategic and visionary perspective, effectively supporting the seamless delivery of digitalization initiatives within the overarching framework of Accelerated Digitalization.
Furthermore, your adeptness will be required in managing the intricate web of stakeholder relationships, especially with key digitalization vendors critical to DSC's operations in North America. This aspect will demand your exceptional communication skills and knack for maintaining cohesive collaborations that fuel progress and innovation.
Responsibilities
-Strategic Development: Spearhead the formulation of tools, processes, and organizational structures designed to accelerate operational performance within DHL Supply Chain. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the region's revenue and profit growth objectives.
- Systematic Process Creation: Lead the design and implementation of a systematic process that encompasses the entire lifecycle of emerging technologies, from idea generation to seamless delivery, ensuring sustained performance improvement.
- Team Leadership: Develop and lead a dedicated team of direct reports who will be instrumental in driving the regional Accelerated Digitalization strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the accelerated digitalization agenda, current status, and achieved results to cross-functional leaders and external vendors, facilitating alignment and collaboration.
- Organizational Collaboration: Collaborate closely with both regional and global teams, collectively steering the accelerated digitalization agenda for DHL Supply Chain, ensuring cohesive progress towards shared goals.
-Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute to the advancement of digitalization strategies.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, identifying emerging technologies that hold the potential to address critical use cases and drive regional performance enhancements.
- Engineering and Implementation: Provide expert guidance to both regional and sector teams, ensuring the successful implementation of accelerated digitalization solutions across various operational domains.
- Progress Monitoring: Oversee the strategic progress within the region, actively monitoring the advancement towards targeted objectives, and proactively facilitating successful outcomes.
Required Education and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering/Solutions Design/Consulting in the supply chain industry
- 7+ years of progressive experience in at least one of the following: strategy development and implementation, operations management, or organization design and implementation.
- Experience as a management consultant or working in a strategic role in supply chain function.
