Responsibilities
Manager, Employee Relations contributes to develop and lead implementation of Industrial/ Labor Relations strategy, conceptualize and deliver fair and high impact solutions to enable Business Managers to deal with Employee Relations issues effectively in line with business needs, HR strategy, industry best practices.
- Contribute to develop and lead Industrial/ Labor Relations strategy, including broad frameworks, solutions, organization design principles.
- Use structured approach to ensure delivery of Industrial/ Labor Relations initiatives and plans as per timelines and acceptable standards
- Ensure and monitor trends, best practices and legislative requirements in Industrial/ Labor Relations
- Design and develop new and enhance existing initiatives and solutions
- Contribute to development of long term approach and build constructive relationships with Trade Unions, Social Partners, Work Councils, etc.
- Cooperate with senior management in long term collective contract negotiations including interpretation and administration
- Review and assist resolve large scale disputes with business level impact
- Implement change management programs from Employee Relations perspective
- Encourage and support activities related to country risk assessment and risk management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification
- +5 years direct union experience in South Korea or equivalent experience in ER/HR
- Extensive knowledge of local labor laws and practices
- Good level of understanding around labor market
- Experience to work at multinational and matrix organization
- Strong team player
- Language fluency both in Korean and English is preferred
