At DHL Supply Chain, we're looking for an HR Data Engineer to join our Global HR Data Management team and play a key role in designing and optimizing data flows between our HR systems. Our HR technology landscape consists of multiple specialized systems, each supporting different HR processes. This requires seamless integration to ensure connected and efficient experiences across the organization. In addition to ensuring smooth data integration, this role will be actively involved in HR digitalization projects, developing and implementing digital solutions that enhance the employee experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Collaborating with HR IT, HR process teams, and other stakeholders to design and optimize data flows between various HR systems, including where and how transformations should occur to enhance efficiency and reliability and ensure data is transferred accurately.

- Supporting HR digitalization initiatives in designing data transfers required for the implementation of solutions that enhance employee interactions with HR processes.

- Troubleshooting and improving existing data flows, specifying extraction requirements, and defining trigger mechanisms that facilitate seamless integration.

- Performing data mapping to ensure smooth transitions between systems, maintaining accuracy and completeness.

- Understanding and applying effective dating principles within HR systems and ensuring data extraction rules align with system structures.

- Utilizing SQL and Power BI to automate and optimize HR data reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies between systems are quickly identified and resolved.

- Contributing to the overall HR data architecture strategy by following best practices to minimize troubleshooting and maximize accuracy.

Required Skills:

- HR system expertise – Experience working with core HR, time and attendance, compensation, learning, performance, payroll, and recruiting systems, with an understanding of their data structures and processes.

- Data flow and integration knowledge – Strong understanding of HR data movement between systems, including data transformation and integration principles.

- Technical proficiency – Strong SQL skills, along with Power BI (Power Query & DAX) for reporting and automation. Experience with Python is a plus but not required.

- Reconciliation and troubleshooting skills – Ability to efficiently analyze and resolve data inconsistencies between systems.

- Techno-functional mindset – A strong blend of technical expertise and HR process understanding, ensuring HR data is both correctly structured and effectively applied.

- Analytical and problem-solving mindset – Ability to evaluate complex data flows, anticipate issues, and recommend improvements.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills – Able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across HR and IT teams.
