We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Business Development Director – I2M Transport EMEA. In this position you will play a crucial role to drive business development plans that generate new opportunities, maximize profits, and expand market share, all while aligning with our financial goals and Group policies for our EMEA Transport.

*The role is open for mainland Europe and accepts application from those based in mainland Europe

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Lead the design of a cutting-edge strategy for I2M (Inbound to Manufacturing) Transport Business Development in EMEA, aligning with the I2M 2X30 Strategy to drive growth.
  • Implement dynamic business development plans that exceed our I2M Transport growth aspirations for the EMEA region, keeping us ahead in the industry.
  • Spearhead transformative projects that unlock new business opportunities and enhance DHL’s presence among targeted prospects.
  • Conduct proactive market research and innovative marketing initiatives to identify and cultivate new business development opportunities.
  • Forge strong relationships with prospects and key accounts, collaborating with decision-makers to tailor our services to their needs.
  • Monitor key trends and developments that impact our business strategies, ensuring adaptability in a rapidly changing market.
  • Build and nurture relationships with expert Transport Operational Teams, essential to our sales process and overall success.
  • Understand customer and stakeholder interests to provide valuable guidance, ensuring we meet expectations and foster loyalty.

You won’t find another Business Development Director – I2M Transport EMEA position like the one you’ll find with DHL Supply Chain. Now, here’s what we need from you:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experiences in Business Development, Account Management or similar in Transport
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in the transport or logistics sector.
  • Strong ability to create and execute innovative business development strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Exceptional skills in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the transport industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully closing complex deals and partnerships.
  • Focused on achieving measurable results and driving business growth through effective planning and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degrees in business administration, Economics, or similar field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of presenting ideas and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
