We are looking for an immediate, full time, temporary position in EMEA region.

Your tasks:

  1. Support Sustainable Supplier Development:
    • Assist in building a sustainable and resilient supplier base on a global scale by ensuring that suppliers adhere to the environmental, social, and ethical standards outlined in the Supplier Code of Conduct, in alignment with DHL's commitment to sustainability.
  2. Supplier Legal Support:
    • Provide legal guidance and support to the internal global procurement organization regarding inquiries from suppliers related to the Supplier Code of Conduct and further contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards.
  3. Contract Negotiation Assistance:
    • Participate in contract negotiations with worldwide suppliers, focusing on ensuring compliance with ESG sustainability standards and the Supplier Code of Conduct. Contribute legal insights and recommendations to strengthen contractual agreements.
  4. Pre-checks and Compliance:
    • Conduct pre-checks of ESG third-party certifications and Supplier Code of Conduct compliance to facilitate a streamlined acceptance process, ensuring accurate maintenance of relevant data.
  5. Regulatory Analysis:
    • Analyze current international legislation and regulations related to sustainability and country-specific Supply Chain Law, with special focus on CSDDD and other Corporate Sustainability and Human Rights regulations providing summaries and insights to inform departmental strategies and ensure compliance with global standards.
  6. Support ESG Reporting:
    • Assist colleagues in the department with the preparation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) external reporting, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
  7. Research and Data Analysis:
    • Conduct research on best practices in sustainable procurement, including new tools and technologies that can be implemented to enhance compliance and efficiency.
    • Analyze data to support decision-making processes within the department.
  8. Learning Opportunities:
    • Gain exposure to legal aspects of sustainability practices in procurement, including contract negotiation strategies and compliance frameworks.
    • Participate in training sessions or workshops related to negotiation skills, sustainability regulations, and legal compliance.
   

Your profile:

  • You are recently graduated in Law and/or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Law, Business Law, Sustainability, and/or related fields.
 
  • You value working within an international team and are able to successfully and proactively apply your negotiation skills and communicative abilities with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers).
 
  • You possess excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and have proficient English language skills (German and Spanish is a plus but not necessary).
 
  • You are available for a minimum of 6 months in a full-time capacity.
