We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Campinas, Brazil.
Job Purpose:
Develop and implement best local / country specific procurement strategies towards acquisition of Products and services to perform DHL’s operations, leading country procurement team, identify and recommend, maintain and develop a ´best in class´ supply base and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
Your tasks:
- Integrates Procurement services at country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price, and service.
- Specializes in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope.
- Provides professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local frame contracts.
- Identification of strategic cluster specific sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is key.
- Develop, maintain, and share thorough knowledge of regional: markets / category trends; suppliers / regional players.
- Develops and implements country sourcing strategies and contributes to regional category sourcing strategies and initiatives.
- Prepare and lead strategic supplier negotiation of major contracts at country level.
- Prepare, conduct, and lead tenders.
- Ensure effective implementation of DPDHL Procurement contracts.
- Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local business colleagues.
- Conduct regional supplier management and identify new "best in class" regional suppliers.
- Establish close relationships with regional / country Business Colleagues to ensure actual / future knowledge of demand and service quality; build and maintain solid understanding of respective business needs.
- Ensure strong working relationship and cooperation with regional / country and corporate sourcing / category managers; strategic suppliers; external partnerships
Education Level
- Relevant university degree and/or equivalent
- MBA is a differentiator
- 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement
- 5+ Years in Team leading experience
- Experience with mid-sized project management
- Category experience for several categories including Warehouse equipment, Services,
