LGV 1 Driver

Job Title: LGV Driver (Class 1)
Location: East Midlands Airport, DE74 2TR
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts over a 2-week period, covering days and nights 7 days a week.

Role Purpose:
As an LGV Driver, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient delivery and collection of shipments to and from our Service Centre and Hub facilities. Your dedication and conscientious approach will ensure that every customer interaction is positive and professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and ensure safe loading and securing of the vehicle.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections of shipments, ranging from 0.5kg to 1500kg.
• Adhere to Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations and company driving standards.
• Maintain accurate records of working and driving hours.
• Project a high-quality DHL image and provide top-notch service to internal and external customers.
• Comply with safety, security, and customs procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions and work under pressure.
• Strong initiative and sound judgment.
• Effective communication skills and a flexible working approach.
• Team player with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of UK DFT Security & Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to pass the full DHL Vetting process with a clean CRB.

Qualifications:

• Aged over 21 with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• LGV C+E Licence
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training
• DCPC Card.
