Role Purpose
Data Analyst in the Global Digital Marketing team will play a crucial role in leveraging data-driven insights to optimize digital marketing strategies and drive business growth. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze marketing performance, providing actionable recommendations for the Digital Marketing function that align with business objectives. Additionally, the role will utilize predictive analysis techniques to forecast campaign outcomes, enabling the team to proactively adjust strategies for maximum impact.
This role is available in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Bonn, Germany.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
Data Management and Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support digital marketing initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and ROI.
- Model Development: Applying statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict future trends or behaviors (e.g., customer behavior, sales forecasts).
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on customer segmentation, conversion rates, and funnel optimization to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to define metrics, goals, and strategies based on data insights.
Testing and Optimization:
- Perform A/B testing and statistical analysis to assess the impact of marketing campaigns and website optimizations.
- Monitor and optimize digital marketing campaigns based on KPIs and data-driven insights.
- Continuously review campaigns and data to identify areas for improvement across various marketing activities.
- Flag opportunities for enhancement in campaign performance, audience targeting, and channel effectiveness globally.
Insights and Recommendations:
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
- Monitor Social Listening dashboard to track brand mentions, sentiment, and trends, and communicate insights globally.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in digital marketing analytics.
Regional and country support:
- Continuously review campaigns and data to identify areas for improvement across various marketing activities.
- Flag opportunities for enhancement in campaign performance, audience targeting, and channel effectiveness globally.
- Collaborate with marketing teams across regions to define metrics, goals, and strategies based on data insights.
- Provide support to regional teams by monitoring key KPIs and delivering actionable recommendations for campaign optimization.
Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate regular meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on campaign performance, insights, and proposed optimizations.
- Act as a strategic advisor, leveraging data-driven insights to influence decision-making and drive marketing effectiveness globally.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within digital marketing or e-commerce.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python/R, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of digital marketing concepts, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
- Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
- Fluency in English.
