We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Tokyo, Japan.

Job Purpose:

• Implement best local category specific strategies. Work closely with business teams to ensure identify and recommend ´best in class´ suppliers and maintain good to maximize the corporate profit and minimize the risks.

Your tasks:

• Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local frame contracts. Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is a key
• Integrate Procurement services at country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
• Support business with detecting the right suppliers for driving forward innovation
• Support with supplier risk assessment and evaluating suppliers based on sustainability KPIs
• Manage larger complexity of contracts and new contract types (e.g. with startups)
• Deep understanding of the local business as well as market and trends.

Your profile:

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• Japanese native, English preferred

Experience Level

• General 5 years experience preferably with more than 2 years in procurement experience
