Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to oversee human resource functions. This role will be pivotal in managing workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and HR operations for a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and have a solid understanding of labour regulations, warehouse dynamics, and workforce management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead recruitment strategies for warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics personnel.
- Partner with operations managers to forecast staffing needs.
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair, consistent manner.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.
- Support initiatives that improve employee morale and retention.
3. Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety standards (OSHA), and company policies.
- Maintain employee records and documentation.
- Conduct investigations and disciplinary procedures when necessary.
4. Training & Development
- Coordinate training programs for warehouse safety, job skills, and leadership development.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with department leads to address gaps.
5. HR Operations
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and payroll coordination.
- Track HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absenteeism) and report trends.
- Recommend process improvements and automation where possible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification is a plus)
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office tools.
