DHL is dedicated to being a great place to work.We are looking for an HR Director to lead the HR function in our Costa Rica and Argentina Shared Service Centers. An integral part of our Global Shared Service Center network, our SSC’s are a critical element of our Global Finance Structure, supporting countries across the America’s with transactional added value Finance activities, as well as driving improvements to Finance Process and Systems. We also host other functions in the center making this a dynamic and interesting environment, where people are a central part of what we do every day.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
Leading an experienced HR team, this role is the Custodian of all things people in the center, supporting the Local Management with all things people, from Talent Acquisition and Development, Managing ER issues, ensuring compliance, and driving Engagement to ensure we are a Great Place to Work for All. The role will be challenging, but very rewarding, and place a key role as an advisor and Trusted Partner to the Head of the SSC and the Senior Leadership Team. As the primary interface between HR and the SSC Finance business the role must provide consultative advice to senior stakeholders and assist them in achieving their business goals across both locations. Leading the HR teams and striving to improve productivity the role provides guidance and counsel across the following areas: recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, employee and labor relations, succession planning, and employee communications.
Do you have what it takes?
This position is part of the Senior Management Team at the SSC’s, where important decisions in terms of business, people and quality growth are decided. The role reports into the VP HR for Global Finance and Shared Service Centers and dotted line to the VP Head of Americas Shared Service Centers so is part of the wider SSC HR and Finance Management team helping to drive HR company strategy across all SSC locations.

- Have 10-15 years experience in HR, preferably in with some time in Generalist HR
- Have Experience leading teams
- Have Strong Negotiation, Influencing skills and ability to act as a Business Partner
- Be a Credible Business Communicator
- Be Familiar with the application of Employment Legislation and business practice
- Have a Compliance Mindset
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and digitalization skills
- Have experience in Shared Service Centers operations or similar in terms of stakeholders management.
- Have 10-15 years experience in HR, preferably in with some time in Generalist HR
JOB CONDITIONS:
The job is regularly performed in office environment, which would typically be a cubicle where moderate noise would be heard. According to the position’s requirements, relocation into other DHL local or international subsidiaries may take place.
