Application Process

Our application process is two way; for us to learn more about you and your way of working, and for you to understand whether DHL is the right organization for you.  The only 2  requirements we ask is that you have Maths and English G.C.S.E at Grade C and above / grades 4-9 or have completed functional skills to Level 1 in both subjects, with the exception of our Engineering and Degree Level programmes (please see link to role for more details). Also you must also have been living in England for the past 3 years and not taking part in full time education.
1. Application
Once you have decided which Programme to apply for you will need to complete an online application. You will be asked to enter personal details, together with qualifications and work experience. You will also be asked some specific questions relating to the minimum criteria for the Programme so please ensure you meet these before applying. Please be aware if you already have a qualification in the subject area, please include this on your previous Education.
2. Strengths Journey
Once you have completed the application stage, you will be progressed to our DHL Strengths Journey. This is designed to assess how you would handle situations that you would encounter in the role you are applying for. It has been developed as a bespoke tool for DHL and is based on real-life situations which our Apprentices have experienced.
3. Job Simulation
If you reach the required bench mark on the DHL Strengths Journey, you will then be invited to complete a Job Simulation. The purpose of the Job Simulation is for you to showcase your real self, whilst completing a role-relevant DHL scenario. This will also give you an insight into situations you could experience as a DHL Apprentice.
4. Experience Day
Following the Job Simulation, if you are successful, the final stage of the process is the Experience Day. Preparation is key, but it is also important that you are yourself and show us who you really are! We will provide you in advance the details of what to expect on this day.

Being naturally driven, I was motivated to gain real-life experience whilst completing my degree; applying the theoretical frameworks and concepts to my everyday practise. I also wanted to expand my network, working and interacting with likeminded professionals, learning from their own advice and experience along the way.”
