Role Purpose
1. Execute yield improvement analysis and support initiatives aligned to overall global/regional priorities for the APEC region (e.g., Yield Boost related, via SPAs).
2. Proactively identify improvement opportunities to pricing capability & processes for the region; support execution as needed.
3. Execute pricing-related projects for the APeC region (e.g., GPI, SPA, GPI) and where needed for Global scope activities.
4. Drive improvement of country Pricing teams and develop into a senior expert resource to advice / provide expertise to the pricing community/x-functional stakeholders (e.g., FIN, IT, Sales).

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

1. Execute yield improvement analysis and support initiatives aligned to overall global/regional priorities for the APEC region (e.g., Yield Boost related, via SPAs)
• Support yield improvement initiatives to improve yield over the long term and drive execution in Asia Pacific countries in alignment with other functions/regions/Global.
• Lead annual country Strategic Pricing Alignment (SPA) workshops with country Senior Management Teams in less complex countries.
• Lead and execute the Annual General Price Increase (GPI) exercise with Country Pricing team and Key Account Pricing team for smooth implementation and execution of the price increase.
• Oversee the Regional Pricing Scorecard on a monthly basis, as well as other analyses as required.
• Provide regular guidance on pricing practices, revenue, and profitability analyses; supervise standard monthly processes for in-country managers and analysts, and ensure top quality for regional data & BI.
• Take ownership of selected tools for region (e.g., GSMART, RCG, OMS/STELLAR, STC, GRE, RADAR, DAO, etc).
• Oversee the country and region Net Price Change (NPC) performance and support the Country team as required.

2. Proactively identify improvement opportunities to pricing capability & processes for the region; support execution as needed
•Support the development of tools, processes, and knowledge databases to systemize pricing activities.
• Support delivery of training on the pricing process, tools, and techniques for selected topics.
• Propose improvements to increase the efficiency and quality of pricing processes and support implementations.
• Support country pricing managers on a wide range of tasks (e.g., published tariff levels, discount policies, etc.).
• Provide input to other parts of Global Pricing (e.g., GCP, Processes & Tools) and other functions (e.g., FIN) as required.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
• Provided input into the formulation of Global Pricing policy and pricing strategies.
• Enhance overall pricing and yield awareness in the organization.
• Provide domain expertise and support to country and Global Pricing members as required.
• Support Product-related activities as needed, e.g., S&S, product activations, etc.

3. Execute Pricing & product-related projects for the APEC region
• Execute business critical projects in AP working with cross-functional and cross-geographies (country/regional/global) as needed.
• Support global projects and initiatives.

4. Drive improvement of regional teams and develop into a senior expert to advice / provide expertise
• Develop country Pricing teams & strong collaborative relationships with country and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Motivate / coach team members (esp in country, interns) to perform to high standard often under time pressure.
• Be the APEC regional CIS champion to organize the CIS Pricing modules and budget allocation.

Do you have what it takes?

• A bachelor's/master's degree in business, finance, engineering, or another highly analytical field is required.
• Expertise in modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Functional capability with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel and Access) is required.
• Programme / Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated track record and knowledge of the Express business.
• Familiarity/experience with DHL Express Finance and Billing systems will be beneficial.
• Familiarity/experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting systems will be beneficial.
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial analytical roles.
• Very strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to travel for short periods (approx 30% of time) to DHL or vendor business locations, primarily within Asia Pacific, but if required to other regions.
• Familiarity with Asia Pacific - economics, business trends, cultural norms - will be beneficial.
• Experience outside Asia Pacific and ability to transfer best practices will be beneficial.
