The Compliance Auditor Ground Operations supports and implements the Quality Management & Compliance Monitoring Program / System by performing audits and inspections.
The auditor performs compliance checks and updates regarding aviation legislation (EU No. 965/2012 Air Operations) as well as best practices and recommended standards within the Aviation Industry
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the company on operational compliance matters
- Implements compliance monitoring procedures and regularly reviews them for compliance with regulations and DHL Air Austria standards
- Oversees and controls compliance activities in the area of expertise
- Supports the documentation and implementation of relevant ISARPS for IOSA certification
- Defines processes and procedures required to monito compliance and mitigate risk
YOUR TASKS:
- Conducts internal audits in the areas of Ground Operations, Cargo Operations and Management System
- Conducts audits and inspections of ground handling agents
- Performs audits for third party providers (IFQP, DAQCP, DHL Network)
- Performs risk analysis of audit findings
- Performs risk assessments of contracted organizations
- Follows up findings in IQSMS
- Conducts compliance and quality training
- Monitors non-compliances, non-conformities and corrective actions
- Initiates improvements to checklists and other compliance materials, documentation and process descriptions
- Ensure continuous improvement (e.g. training input) resulting from non-conformances and corrective actions
- Prepares and checks compliance of company documentation (OMM, OM-A, GSAM, processes / procedures, work instructions, forms, etc.)
- Exercises an IQSMS administrator function
- Prepares and analyses reports and statistics in Power BI
- Participates in cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Liaise with external bodies and stakeholders such as Civil Aviation Authority (ACG), SACA/SAFA, IFQP, DAQCP, IOSA, DHL Network
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed university studies and several years of relevant professional experience or many years professional experience
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent language skills, fluent in English, German optional
- Comprehensive understanding of the European Aviation Safety Regulatory Framework and other regulatory requirements (Air OPS, IOSA, ISAGO, IFQP & DAQCP)
- Understanding of aircraft ground operations, cargo operations and organizational requirements for aircraft safety, security, quality and compliance, airworthiness and general airline operations
- Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety and quality/compliance standards and safe operating practices
- Extensive knowledge of:
- The applicable EU safety regulations and all associated requirements and procedures
- The AOC holder`s operating specifications; and
- The need for and content of the relevant parts of the AOC holder`s Operations Manual
- 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should have been in the aviation industry in an appropriate position
- Familiarity wit management systems, preferably in the aviation industry
- Auditor training and specific knowledge of audits (EASA/IOSA)
- Training in risk assessment
- Knowledge of aviation security management system
- Good understanding of ground operations processes and procedures and organisational requirements, quality assurance and safety implications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Social and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Good knowledge of IT applications (MS Office, IQSMS, web manuals)
- Analytical, assertive and persuasive skills
- Respectful behaviour and excellent rhetorical skills
- Willing to travel
- EU citizenship, or Residence and Work Permit for Austria
