If you are looking to strengthen your career journey in the Infrastructure engineering space, this role would be a perfect fit for you. You would be working on the frontlines to create end-to-end automation capabilities across the infrastructure landscape. You will need to be entrepreneurial in identifying these opportunities, design and implementing them.
Using reusable Terraform templates, Ansible playbooks, and yaml blueprints, you will orchestrate automation frameworks that can be utilized across the enterprise for provisioning assets in cloud, access management, patching, bug fixes, adhoc implementations and more. The goal is to replace all/most manual tasks by automation in the entire value chain.
We primarily operate in the public cloud space. Knowledge of provisioning various Azure & GCP services would be vital for this role. You will be working with Infrastructure, Network & other Infrastructure teams.
Learning continuously, keeping up with all the quickly changing technologies and/or customer or ITS needs. Ensure that the applications and their support is undertaken based on the IT Operational standards, executed in line with the ITS Process and delivered within the requested timescales.
Must Have Skills:
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Terraform Cloud
- Ansible
- Cloudify & YAML blueprints
- Azure & Google Cloud Services – Compute, DBaaS, Container Services, Network
- Power Shell Scripting & Development
- Python Development
Additional Skills:
- Jenkins, Git, Bash/PowerShell scripting
- Ansible Tower, Terraform Cloud
- Networks, DMZ, TCP/IP protocols
- Access Management via RBAC & AD Groups
- Strong knowledge in infrastructure provisioning and configuration change management via automated scripts.
- Knowledge of patching & upgrades
Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
As a Infrastructure Engineer having any of Infrastructure Automation, Scripting and Cloud certifications will be a huge plus. Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code paradigm & related functions will be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of Automated Infrastructure Provisioning and Management & the value in it. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- 1 year of experience in Terraform and/or Terraform Cloud.
- 1 year of experience in Azure/Google Cloud services
- Experience in implementing configuration changes and updates to the infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible or Custom scripts (Jenkins, Bash, PowerShell etc)
- Good knowledge of CI/CD and Automation tool set – Git, Jenkins etc
- Experience in working with infrastructure automation scripts
- Experience with Cloudify or other automation workflow tools.
- Certification in Azure/Google Cloud Platform is an added advantage.
- Having a high exposure to ITIL standards, Incident management, Release & Patch management.
- Excellent Oral and Communication skills to interact and work with global IT teams & end customers.
- Must be able to provide 24x7 On-Call support on a rotational basis during the weekend, be flexible to work during public holidays, and be required to work shift hours.
