Position:  Senior Operational Manager - International

Contract Type: Permanent – 37.5 hours per week

Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry (hybrid working available, but must be 3 days per week office based

About the role:

Responsible and accountable for all first, and middle-mile operations with oversite of seamless UK Domestic and cross-border linehaul activities and working exclusively with partners across the network to drive a best-in-class operating culture to support an increasingly competitive market.

  • Accountable for all International Operations including domestic first mile, middle mile trans-Atlantic/European linehaul, in-country brokers and final mile providers
  • Ownership of operational volume and financial reporting for the end-to-end International Operation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and repair issues with key systems
  • Key contact for all International Transport queries, from Customer Onboarding, & Operational escalation
  • Working alongside Trade Compliance Managers ensuring all cross-border transits are completed in a highly compliant manner.
  • Provide data visualisations of troubleshooting to internal stakeholders
  • Own or actively participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Work with different departments to ensure all systems are correctly documented and that accurate backup libraries are maintained
  • Supporting Head of Product with profit & loss reporting & yearly budget forecast
  • Championing a continuous improvement culture to consistently push the boundaries of the possible to create a best-in-class customer experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years cross-border logistics experience
  • Experience of development and implementation of strategy within a product management environment
  • Knowledge of and preferably experience within consumer-focused product development and delivery.
