We are seeking a motivated and skilled Engineering Technician to contribute to the delivery of projects during the implementation phase. In this role, you will work closely with the design and engineering team to program robotic solutions, create bespoke automation solutions, and ensure compliance with company and statutory policies. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our innovative automation initiatives.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, you will
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to improve processes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Support engineering projects, including prototyping and testing.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and workshop best practices.
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and spare parts.
- Assist with training apprentices or junior staff.
- Process paperwork to ensure compliance with company and statutory policies and requirements.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and provide operational support where required. Investigate failures and recommend remedial actions to enhance system reliability and performance.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

- Experience in electro-mechanical engineering is essential.
- A-level or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Maths, Science, Physics).
- Competent in any 3D CAD system and capable of reading engineering production drawings.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and co-packing experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Understanding of materials, tolerances, and machining techniques.
- Electrical wiring and basic electronics knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
