III.    Processing of personal data by Deutsche Post AG

In the following, we would like to give you an overview of how the protection of your personal data is ensured when accessing this website and what types of personal data are processed for what purposes and to what extent.

1.    Processing of data when accessing this website – log files

When accessing this website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar information. In addition, your IP address is transmitted and utilised in order to access the service you have requested. This information is necessary for technical purposes in order to correctly deliver the contents of the websites requested by you and is required for use of the Internet.

In line with IT security, the resulting log file data is stored for a period of 120 days in order to detect and analyse any possible attacks against the website. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

2.    Individually personalized job recommendations

On our website, you have the option of receiving personalized job recommendations. We use the information you provide to us on the website or via the chatbot (preferred place of work, work experience, skills, and job description) to present you relevant jobs. If you upload a resume, we automatically extract the mentioned information from it and use it to present you with relevant job offers. We store your data using a cookie in pseudonymous form for a period of 12 months in order to be able to present you relevant job offers on the basis of your data when you access the website later on. An identification of a specific person is therefore not possible for us. The legal basis for setting the cookie is the consent given in accordance with Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR. The legal basis for the further processing of the data to present relevant jobs is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

3.    Creating a profile

When you are asked to provide information for the personalized job recommendations, you have the option of providing personal information (name, e-mail address) on a voluntary basis. If you provide us with these details, we will store your data in personalized form for 12 months in order to present you our personalized job recommendations and, in particular, to be able to address you personally. The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR.

4.    Job Alert subscription

We use a so-called double-opt-in procedure for the Job Alert registration. This means that after you have provided your e-mail address, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we will ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the Job Alert. If you do not confirm this within 4 hours, your registration will be deleted automatically. Provided you have confirmed your wish to receive the Job Alert, we will store your e-mail address for 12 months or until you unsubscribe. We store this data in order to be ableto send you relevant job offers on the basis of your search details. Furthermore, we save the time of your registration in order to prevent misuse of your personal data, and so that we are able to provide proof of correct sending. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR.

The only mandatory information for sending the Job Alert is the e-mail address, as well as the preferred place of work and your career level, in order to send relevant job recommendations based on this. You can submit your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every Job Alert e-mail.

5.    Notes on ensuring data security

We take technical security precautions on our webpages to protect the personal data stored with us from access by third parties, loss or misuse, and to enable secure data transfer.

We are obliged to point out that, due to the structure of the Internet, unauthorised access to data by third parties may occur. It is therefore also your responsibility to protect your data against misuse, through encrypted transmission or in any other way. If appropriate protective measures are not taken, unencrypted data in particular, even if transmitted via e-mail, can be read by third parties.

IV.    Integration of external services

1.    Integration of AdobeTAG-Manager

For the integration of tracking service providers or external partners, we use the Adobe Tag Manager. This allows us to control the delivery of the integrated services. This tool works without cookies, but nevertheless requires a transmission of IP addresses to Adobe. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

2.    Integration of Mapbox

On this website we use the offer of Mapbox, an offer of the company Mapbox, Inc. This serves the purpose of showing you interactive maps directly in the website, easy location of the places we indicate on the website and comfortable use of the map function.

This application is requested directly from servers of the company Mapbox, so that the company receives the IP address currently assigned to you. By visiting the website, Mapbox receives the information that you have visited the corresponding subpage of our website. In the process, the data is also processed by the service provider on servers in the USA. The transfer of your data into the USA will only take place after your explicit consent.
