Responsibilities

We are seeking a Talent Management Professional/Manager to join our dynamic team at DHL Supply Chain Japan. In this important role, you will be responsible for driving a talent strategy that supports our mission of "Connecting People, Improving Lives." You will manage talent performance, assist in strategic business decisions through data analysis, and enhance employee performance and engagement. This role is essential to DHL, as you will contribute to our organization's talent strategy and help create a high-performing and engaged workforce in collaboration with other HR colleagues and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performance Development and Engagement:
    • Help develop and implement strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee performance, executing DHL's global initiatives while also proposing and implementing tailored strategies for Japan as needed.
    • Collaborate with the engagement team within HR to ensure alignment and effectiveness of engagement strategies, and monitor their effectiveness, suggesting necessary adjustments.
  2. Career Development Support:
    • Assist in designing and executing initiatives to support employee career development, including the talent development of new graduate hires in Japan, implementing DHL's global programs and proposing relevant local initiatives as necessary.
    • Provide resources and guidance to employees for their career advancement within the organization.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Support talent performance management processes in line with DHL's standards.
    • Collaborate with managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to set performance expectations and facilitate performance reviews.
  4. Data Analysis for Strategic Decision-Making:
    • Analyze talent data to provide insights that assist in strategic business decisions.
    • Work with HRBPs and other HR colleagues to understand workforce trends and develop strategies based on data insights.
  5. Support for L&D Initiatives:
    • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to support various training initiatives.
    • Facilitate training sessions as needed to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Must:

  • Experience in proposing and executing initiatives to improve talent performance and engagement based on analysis of your team members and the current business situation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese (JLPT N1 Level) and English communication skills.
  • Be a role model who has an appetite for personal growth and influences the growth of others.
  • Consistently practice the behavior of "Delivering Results without Compromising on Respect."

Desirable:

  • Experience in Talent Management and Performance Management and/or Learning & Development is desirable.
  • Holds a bachelor's degree or higher.
