Job Purpose:

As DHL continues to grow its ESG Supplier Programs, we’re looking for an enthusiastic auditor to join our global procurement team. In this role, you will help build and maintain a sustainable and responsible supplier base by ensuring that environmental, social, and ethical (ESG) standards are incorporated into our processes and followed by suppliers. Your work will be key in supporting DHL’s efforts to create a positive impact across its supply chain, ensuring we meet both legal requirements and our own high standards.

Your tasks:

  • Plan and carry out desk-based and on-site audits using the SMETA 4 pillars methodology and DHL's Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) to ensure supplier compliance with ESG standards.
  • Support supplier assessment campaigns, handle supplier allegations, and manage the DHL Supplier Block List for compliance.
  • Identify, document, and follow up with suppliers on both corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Create professional presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders regarding supplier audits, assessments, and allegations.
  • Update and track reports, results, and actions related to supplier audits, assessments, and allegations in necessary systems.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for supplier audits and assessments, focusing on process efficiency.
  • Oversee CAP management for suppliers failing audits or assessments, including those managed by third parties like EcoVadis and &Wilder.
  • Analyze CAP trends and minimum standards to recommend and provide training for suppliers, the Risk Management Team (RMT), and Supplier Relationship Managers (SDDR).
 

Your profile:

  • Proven experience in ESG supplier assessments and audits, with a strong understanding of supply chain risks and the SMETA 4 Pillars methodology. Previous experience in social auditing is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent coordination and organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks, operate autonomously, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication with a results- and process-oriented approach, able to deliver clear presentations and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic and solution-focused mindset, committed to continuous learning and professional growth, while being adaptable to change.
  • Global mindset and high level of cross-cultural awareness, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues across various cultures.
  • Open to constructive feedback and focused on driving continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Management, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
