Application Process

Our application process is two way; for us to learn more about you and your way of working, and for you to understand whether DHL is the right organization for you.  We do not have a minimum degree grade requirement and welcome all Graduates of all ages and disciplines.
1. Application
Once you have decided which Programme to apply for you will need to complete an online application. You will be asked to enter personal details, together with qualifications and work experience. You will also be asked some specific questions relating to the minimum criteria for the Programme so please ensure you meet these before applying.
2. Strengths Journey
Once you have completed the application stage, you will be progressed to our DHL Strengths Journey. This is designed to assess how you would handle situations that you would encounter in the role you are applying for. It has been developed as a bespoke tool for DHL and is based on real-life situations which our Graduates have experienced.
3. Job Simulation
If you pass the DHL Strengths Journey, you will then be invited to complete a Job Simulation. The purpose of the Job Simulation is for you to showcase your real self, whilst completing a role-relevant DHL scenario. This will also give you an insight into situations you could experience as a DHL Graduate.
4. Experience Day
Following the Job Simulation, if you are successful, the final stage of the process is the Experience Day. Preparation is key, but it is also important that you are yourself and show us who you really are! We will provide you in advance the details of what to expect on this day.

"At DHL Supply Chain I was lucky enough to study for my CIPD qualification which enables me to become an associate CIPD member. Moreover, the HR Graduate Scheme has provided me with the opportunity to work across numerous functions within HR such as; Compensation and Benefits and the Talent Centre of Excellence. This helped to pinpoint the areas of HR which I enjoyed the most and overall, the experience highlighted how the HR function adds value to the organization."

"DHL's Impact on sustainability can be seen through improving facilities to include more sustainable options such as solar panels, wind turbines, better heating solutions, etc. This impacts improving our emissions at the site level which we are also exploring with our transport footprint as well and working to reduce through new technologies such as electric vehicles, CNG gas trucks, and bio-methane trucks."

"The Future Leader’s graduate scheme is structured in a way where I have been trusted with a great level of responsibility. It enabled me to be pushed out of my comfort zone, which has allowed me to continue growing to become the leader I aspire to be. "During my time with DHL I have learnt just how important it is to be able to inspire others to give their all. During challenging times, having the people skills to motivate and influence others is key, particularly when working in a large site with colleagues who may not always realise how much their individual role contributes to the overall success of the operation. In difficult times a lot of people look to you for leadership, so knowing how to motivate, reassure or support others at the right time and in the right way is crucial."
